Hey friend,
For the first time in almost 6 months since I started this newsletter, I missed 2 weeks’ worth of editions.
I’m incredibly sorry.
When I started this newsletter, I had the goal of consistently writing this for at least a year before taking a break, and I broke that promise to myself and you.
The first week, I was out on vacation to Goa. I was supposed to schedule the edition before leaving, but it got too hectic. And this Monday, I was down in the dumps with mental health issues.
I’m not trying to save myself here, but letting you know that it won’t happen again:) You’ve been there from the beginning of my journey; your support means so much to me!
But…this break almost made me dig deep into the WHY of this newsletter.
Before we proceed further, I wanted to remind you (if you’re a new subscriber) that this is not the usual version. Social Media Conversations comes out every Monday.
This is more of an apology and an update letter.
From the beginning, I’ve never had a structure. And though I had a niche, I felt it was all over the place.
So starting next week, here’s what I’m gonna do:
All editions will be structured.
It’ll have the following:
A resources section - promoting some of the best resources I come across for the week
ONE idea of the week - I got inspired to do this by The Boonly newsletter of my friend Irena Spegar
A personal lesson - throughout this journey, I felt I hadn’t shared tidbits of my experience as a solopreneur enough. So hopefully, this section will solve that.
Tbh, I still don’t know whether this is going to be THE structure for the newsletter. But I hope this direction will provide you with more value.
I’m pivoting a bit
Over the past couple of months, the newsletter has been purely about how to talk to people on social media.
But now, I want to focus more on helping you scale to your first $1000 as a solopreneur. I’ll talk about pricing, niching down, packaging your services, mindset shift, etc.
Conversations will still be the primary topic because it’s still this newsletter’s core.
But probably once or twice a month, I’ll talk about these other topics:)
Okay, now, you can go back to preparing for your fantastic upcoming weekend! I won’t disturb you anymore.
Shoo shoo!
Until coming Monday,
Shruthi
